To help determine the thickness of your hair and what size barrette you should buy, put your hair in a ponytail with an elastic band. Measure the diameter at the elastic band, then look below for your clip size. This is a general method and may not be exact or accurate, but meant to be a place to start. It also depends on the hair style you wear, i.e. if you have a 3/4” pony tail and want to wear the clip on your “Half up” hairdo you may want a medium size clip. If you choose the wrong size and it doesn’t fit the way you expected, all Miller Designs products can be returned in 30 days with original packaging intact for exchange or full refund.

Medium clip (3") holds hair from 1/2" to 3/4" size ponytail, depending on hair style.

Large clip (3.5") holds hair from 3/4" to 1.25" size ponytail, depending on hair style.

X-Large clip (4") holds hair from 1.25" to 1.5" size ponytail, depending on hair style.
